I’ve spoken quite extensively about my strong belief that a cleanser should at the very least clean your face. You’d think it’d be obvious right? But no, a cleanser that properly cleaned was actually quite a rare thing. These days, not so much. However, as we are now battling a lot of modern day situations that have a detrimental effect on how our skin looks and behaves, our cleansers have  had to up their game . One of skins biggest enemy is pollution. Smog, car fumes, blue light from digital devices, general toxins in the air... yeah all fun and games. Not.  So  if you are wondering why, despite all your efforts,  your skin still looks dull, blotchy and discoloured, it’s probably down to pollution. Pollution accelerates your ageing process. Yeah I know. Yikes. So that’s the bad news. The good news is Paula’s Choice Defense range of products includes an anti-pollution complex to combat this.  I particularly love the cleanser.  It combines green tea, liquorice and  soy to neutralise surface pollutants. The gel to cream texture leaves your skin feeling hydrated. And it cleans - like properly cleans-  without stripping your skin. . Yes I’m sure some people would argue that you  could just move to the countryside where the air is cleaner but here’s a fact for you: pollution is EVERYWHERE. Sorry. So just get a cleanser to deal with it. It’s cheaper than moving house. paulaschoice.com
